        I’m going to tell you about how to use soroban. Do you know soroban? It’s called “abacus” in English. Soroban is Japanese traditional and manual calculator. The reason why I know how to use soroban, I learn it before. Soroban has a lot of bead. Vertical line has five beads. Upper one beat mean five and under each beats mean one. There is a partition between upper beat and under beat, and every four vertical line, dot on a partition. First dot is the one’s place, and next dot is the thousand’s place. Good point of soroban is decided one’s place or other place by me. It is so difficult to calculation by soroban, so I going to give you a particular account of it. For example, if you want to calculate 4＋5, put all under base and upper base. It’s show 9. if you want to 5＋6 ,first, put upper base next, put one under base and clear upper base then, put one under base in the ten’s place. It’s show 11. If it goes to next place, carry the figure of small place to large place. If you want to calculate 16 ×13, put answer of 6×1 in the ten’s place and answer of 6×3 in the ten and one’s place. Then put answer of 1×1 in the hundred’s place and answer of 1×3 in the ten’s place. It’s show 207. If you want to calculate 126 ÷6, you should put 126 from the beginning, put answer of 12 ÷6 in other place and clear 12. Then put answer of 6÷6 and clear 6. It’s show 11. Do you understand how to use soroban and calculation?  It is so difficult at first, but surely help you for example, go shopping and calculate the price.

          Do you believe it that crocodile really want to eat human beings? This is true at least in this story. I read The Enormous Crocodile by Roald Dahl. It was published by the Penguin Group. The reason why I choose this book, Roald Dahl is my famous author and I read many his books, but I didn't read it. The enormous crocodile love to eat children because they are juicy and bigger than fish. He has thought up secret plans and clever tricks. He spread his plan to many animals live in jungle. He pretended to be a coconut tree, seesaw and the merry go round for get juicy children. However animals are disturbed his plans. Finally, when he pretended a bench, elephant came to and catch his tail. Elephant swung him and suddenly let go of his tail. He crashed headfirst into the hot sun. It’s so interesting story. My favorite scene is many animals try to protect children by crocodile. I think crocodile is clever because his plans are good for catch children, but animals more clever than him. Often, ending of dahl’s story is cruel. However the message put this story that villain should punished. My most favorite thing of this book is painted many pictures. It helps me understand this story. Most dislike scene is crocodile bully children. I recommend to children because I think they image if they aimed by crocodile and feel nervous. Next, I read Mr. Bean in town by Rowan Atkinson and more. It was published by Penguin Readers. The reason why I choose this book, I love Mr. Bean’s DVD, so I want to enjoy by book. This book consists of two parts. In first part, he go to high class restaurant because his birthday.  He eats steak tartare, but he doesn’t like its taste. He try to hide it various places. For example in the vase, in the sugar case, and under the dish. Finally he hide it in the bag of woman! In second part, he goes to launderette. In there, he antagonizes to well built man. He wants to revenge for the man, so he changes man’s detergent to coffee! Man’s clothes becomes brown. Elsewhere, he wears woman’s skirt by mistake. In addition, he in dryer because he seek his clothes! He makes a lot of happening wherever he goes. I think his life really really interesting to watch, but if he is my friend, his action may be annoyed me.  I often pity him because everything he tries to do is not succeed. I think he has strong and positive heart. I respect him in this point. He always opens his mind to everything. He became sharp once in a while for example change detergent to coffee. When he became sharp, I’m very happy because he always unlucky. I thanks to him always make me happy by his mistake.  After all, my most favorite scene is he changes man’s detergent to coffee. Most dislike scene is he teased by man that wears skirt by mistake, because it make me ashamed too. I recommend to adults who have busy days and worry. If they watch him life, they will think he is more unlucky than me and become positive. I think he is hero! In this journal, I can meet best English book for me. I’m very happy.

            I want to sell my product for two customers. I want to sell helmet with the lamp for cowboy! This name is "helamp". This is very stylish and convenient helmet. The color is brown and shape is like a hat.I want to tell you how to use it. First, take off your old hat and wear helamp! Remember to close a chin strap. Next, control light and color. Don't choose strong light from a begining because cattle and horse are suprised at it. All you have to do is those two things. Helamp has two advantages. The first, strong helmet protects your head. Old hat made of leather, so it couldn't protects you. If you wore helamp and dropped off or hit cattle or horse, you would not injure your head. Second, colorful lights control cattle and horse's mind. Red is excited them. Green is clam them down. White is all time can use. Yellow is cheer up them. If you want horse to run faster, control light to red and show them. Helamp is surely helping you. You can do more dangerous work. Domestic animals does it as tyou say, so you don't irritate. It makes efficiency of the work better. For secret admirer, I want to sell excuse puppet. This puppet always speaks convenient excuse for you. You are secret admirer, so you don't want people to know you are admirer of someone. You can control this puppet whatever you like. It has four steps in how to use. First, charge a battery of it. Next, you should entry the sentence what you want it to say. Then, setting the voice that similr to yours. After that,  when you have a crunch, use it. Advantage of it is not change countenance, so you cheat people completly. If somebody doubts you are admirer of someone, you don't come out. You can continue secret admirer of someone forever!

            I want to tell you about an experience that changed me. Just one year ago, I took a recomendation entrance exam of one university and it changed me. I have three reasons I think so. First, I noticed some other time my english skills are very low level. In this entrance exam, we did English writing test and english interview test. I thought I don't have enough skills for pass this exam, but I anted to go to this univrsity anyway, so I studied English very hard. In particular, I wasn't good at speak English (still), so I practiced it with our ALT many times. On that day, I thought  I dont'tget along well, and I couldn't pass it. I noticed my skills are not good enough and decided study English more hard for my dream. Second, I noticed so many people support me. Home room teacher, English teachers and of course my parents cooperated for my dream. My home room teacher wrote many document , English teaches were corrected my answer and my parents paid money did mental support. In addition, many friends were gave me some massage and support me. If I didn't take the exam, I didn't notice so much people spent their time for my dream. I really really thank them, and I thought I can't thank them enough. Last, I should have confidence. When I was practiced interview test, I didn't have confidence for my English and my voie was so weak. Then, ALT said to me that with confidence! Confidence makes me look better. Through this experience, I study english harder, I can have the feeling of thanks for everyone, and I do everything with confidence. I couldn't get my dream that want to go that university, but I could get more important things. This experience changed me better.

           I have two people to respect. One of two people is Angelina Jolie. She is very famous American actress. The reason why I respect her, she is not only beautiful woman, but also kind person. She is very famous actress, so she is a rich person. However, she contributes much money for poor countries and people, and visits these countries. In addition, she acts the ambassador of the United Nations. Some people say "she only wants to give people a good impression.", but I don't think so, because I think these interested motives don't make her go poor countries or speak at meeting of United Nations. When I was an elementary school student, I read a book about poor countries and people, and I came to think that I wanted to help these people too. She acts what I want to. She is the woman whom I aim for. For this reasons, I respect and admire her. Another person is my father. He is very tough, patient and kind man. He runs a small garage with my mother. He works hot days, cold days, rainy days, snowy day and sometimes on holiday outside alone. However I remember my childhood, he play with me and my brothers on holiday. I don't hear that he is complaining. I think self employed business is very difficult, but he bring up us and let us go to school. I really really respect him. I want to more tough, patient, and kind person like him.

I think next three people have some negative point. Teacher of advisor of the club of high school, president of club of now and one of my friends. First I'd like to talk about advisor of club. He doesn't have a sense of responsibility. For example, he often didn't come to our practice and didn't going to study the rule of softball, but at the game, he was going to lead us. We didn't want to follow his instructions, because he didn't understand our characteristic of play. I think he is not qualified as a teacher. If he is a teacher, he ought to have more sense of responsibility and  give his love to students. Second, I want to talk about president of the club. At first, I thought he is really kind, but now I think he is stingy and selfish. I hear from older friends that he don't pay club's budget. Girl's older friends are sometimes paying our price of a meal, but he absolutely doesn't pay it. In addition, he often decides to activity contents of club. We freshman disgusted his action. I don't want to follow him. Last, I want to introduce one of my friend's negative points. I think she is very overaggressive. She is good at English, so for example, she always tell me translation of some English sentence, but  I can understand it if I take more time than her. I want to understand it myself, so I don't want her to show her English skills. Moreover, she always complains about some teacher or homework. I think its right that teacher says and we need these homework. It's all for us. For this reasons, I can't like her. They are my negative example.

I celebrated retirement of club activities with our teammates, coach and parents. We had a barbecue and softball game, we graduates versus parents or younger teammates in playground. Unfortunately, that day the rain was very heavy, so we pitched a tent and had a barbecue, but fortunately, it turned out fine in the afternoon. We can enjoy playing softball. Last, our younger teammaes gave us mug, handmade album and message. It became one of my treasures. I like celebrate with my friends, because it is happier than by myself. They sometimes give me some presents or special performance, for example does magic tricks or sing a song. It makes me so happy!! I prefer celebrate at someone's home to go out someplace. I have two reasons. First, we can decorate the room. Decorated room makes our spirits high. Second, we can eat various delicious foods by home delivery service. Of course, we can enjoy cooking or handmade food. At someone's home, we can enjoy more freely. I usually go to celebrate at grilled meat store or have a barbecue, because almost of my friends like grilled meat. I would like to celebrate more events. For instance, I want to celebrate the finish of exam, because I always want to get high grade, so I study very hard before the exam. It is very heavy days for me; therefore I want to have a no study day and give a reward for my nice effort. I don't think celebration is a waste of time. I think celebration not only make us happy, but also raise the morale of us. This is why; I think this time need for our life. From now on, I want to celebrate many events too, so I try to make an effort everyday.

               One of my favorite food is koppamoti. That's because sweet and simple taste are very good and it's taste and smell remainds me of my childhood. Koppamoti is traditional food in my hometown Amakusa. Koppa means dried sweet potato, and koppamati made of koppa and glutinous rice. We usually eat it the end of the year and New Year's Day, but many stores sell it all year around, so we can buy it anytime. In my home, my grandfather and grandmother start to make it from the middle of December. My parents, brothers and I are looking forward to eating it. I would like to introduce a recipe of koppamoti. First of all, steam slices sweet potato and hang it on the string of straw to dry. It is koppa. After about two weeks, mix and knead koppa, sugar and glutinous rice. Last, pack it in the box and make shape. The recipe is very simple, but I can't make it. I don't have enough time and machine that mix and knead the ingredient. I want to become make it, because homemade koppamoti is better than selling one. My best way to eat is toast it by toaster or flying pan. This way make it's outside crisp and inside smooth. A burn is very tasty. My favorite place to eat is my home. I live alone now, so I always have meal alone. It is very lonely. However, in my home, I have meal surrounded by my grandfather, grandmother, parents and brothers. In addition, grandmother and mother make a delicious meal. We can enjoy talking and laugh loudly. It is very happy time for me. I'm looking forward to eating koppamoti with my family.

        My younger brother Hirotaka is exact boy. I think he has a strong left brain. I have two reasons why I think he has it. From now I want to talk about these reasons. First, he is very punctual. For example, when he was a junior high school student, he always woke up at 5;30 a.m.and left for school at 6:45 a.m.! It's very early! His school start at 8:00 a.m.and it took him half an hour to went to his school by bicycle. He has enough time before start the class. I asked him "Why are you leave for school so early?" He said that it is no knowing what will happen on his way school from home. For example if his bicycle get a flat, he may be late for school, but he dislike lateness, so he must always do something on time or earlier. Second, he is smart and a perfectionist. he is freshman in Kumamoto Technical College's Yatsushiro campus now. If junior high school students wants to goes to technical college, they need to get grate math grade. His math grade was so-so, but he studied hard deliberately and passed in the exam. He made study schedule and keep it. However his schedule was none too hard because it was important for him to went to bed early. That's because he should got up early next morning and prepared for class. He has grate concentration, so he could finish his study efficiently and soon. He was thinking all his life and made study schedule. Before his exam, his condition was a near perfect! On account of this two reasons, I think my younger brother has a strong left brain.

           I'd like to talk about some ways I try to guess a personality and abilities of people I don't know very well. I have three ways guess a personality and abilities of people. What the first way is the sound of their voices. If they has low voices, in particular man's teacher, senior or friend's father, I'm afraid of them, and I think perhaps they get angry with me. I don't get good vibrations from them. However, in case of high tone, I have an image of kind, mild and companionable, so I think I want to make friends with them. What the second way is their handwriting. If they writes a good hand, I think I come away with the feeling that they are clever, punctual, and always keeping everything in order. Moreover I expect they will surely hardworker, clever with finger and good at painting too. On the other hand, they writes bad hand, I think they lead a loose life, they can't keeping everything in order and awkward. If they writes bad hand, but they writes politely, I think they try to do everything politely. What the last way is skin color. If their skin is sunburned and dark, I get the impression that they are a fine athlete, strong or very healthy, but they has a fair skin, I think they tends to prefer reading or something to artistic to exercise, or they likes indoor sports. For that reasons, dark skin's people are active, but fair skin's people are reserved in my image. By these three ways, I try to guess a personality and abilities of people I don't know very well.
